The News About Dr. Seuss’s Birthday

This month will mark the 104th birthday of Theodore Seuss Geisel who we all know as Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss has been a household name for decades and you would have to had lived in a cave all your life not to know at least two or three of the books he has written.

Books like “The Cat in The Hat”, Green Eggs and Ham”, “Horton Hears a Who”, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and others are traditional school and household reads. Many of Dr. Seuss’s books have been made into movies and cartoon specials with “Horton Hears a Who” being the latest to be made as a movie.

All across the country Dr. Seuss’s birthday will be celebrated by making reading and literacy a priority. Dr. Seuss made his books fun to read thus making more people learn to read. So on his 104th birthday lets say thank you Dr. Seuss and happy birthday.

The News About The Deadly Poison Ricin Found In Las Vegas Motel Room

A suspicious that preliminary showed to be the deadly poison, ricin was found in a Las Vegas motel room. In proper doses, ricin can be used for cancer treatment and is used in cancer research, but an amount the size of a grain of salt can be deadly.

The man who brought the substance to the manager told police he found it in a suite and it did not belong to him. Three motel employees and another person were quarantined and decontaminated at the site, then taken to hospitals for further testing. Three police officers who had been exposed were also taken to hospitals. It takes between six and eight hours for someone exposed to ricin to show signs of contamination.

The Las Vegas police along with Homeland Security officials and the FBI are investigating the incident, but say they don’t believe it is related to terrorism.

There has been no mention of who could have brought the ricin to the motel and makes me wonder why someone would be carrying it around since it is so toxic. I guess we’ll find out more after all the tests are done.

The News About Hulk Hogan’s Affair With Daughter’s Friend

As we all know, Hulk Hogan’s wife, Linda filed for divorce last November after 25 years of marriage to the wrestling great. It had seemed the reality show, “Hogan knows Best”, might have had a toll on the marriage, but news has now surfaced of an affair that may have been the cause of the breakup.

It seems that the Hulkster had an affair with a friend of his daughter Brooke. 33-year-old Christiane Plante told The National Enquirer that she had an affair with Hulk Hogan about a year after working with Brooke on her 2006 album. Plante said the couple was already having problems with their marriage at the time and that Linda had already left Hulk. She claims the affair started while she was consoling Hulk Hogan through his problems.

Understandably Brooke is very upset about this and wrote a s scathing post on her Myspace blog, which was later removed.

Hulk Hogan is a big star in the wrestling world and I’m sure he will remain so even through this scandal. It’s to bad he may no longer be a big star in his family’s eyes.

The News About Michael Jackson Selling Neverland

It looks like Michael Jackson may have to sale his Neverland ranch unless he pays the $24.5 million owed before March 19 when Neverland will be foreclosed and sold. Michael has actually spent very little time at Neverland since he was acquitted of sexually molesting a young boy and plying him with alcohol June of 2005.

Neverland, which Michael Jackson had dressed, up with a private zoo, an amusement park and statues of Peter Pan characters was ordered shuttered and Michael Jackson fined for failing to pay his employees or maintain proper insurance. The zoo animals were also removed.

I would think that Michael has the money to pay the nearly $25 million he owes for Neverland, but I don’t he really cares at this point.

The News About Floyd Mayweather’s $20 Million Wrestling Match

Floyd Mayweather Jr., consider the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world has that he can not only box, but he can also dance by appearing on the hit ABC show "Dancing With the Stars" and now it seems he wants to show off his wrestling skills.

Mayweather will take on wrestling star Big Show, who is almost 400 pounds heavier and almost a foot and half taller. The match will take place March 30th during WWE's "WrestleMania XXIV" at Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla.

At $20 million I would wrestle Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Big Show. This will not only be a good payday for Floyd Mayweather Jr., but he says it will also be fun for him. This is all part of Floyd’s manager, Leonard Ellerbee’s plan to expand Mayweather's fan base.

The News About Jimmy Kimmel F*cking Ben Affleck

With all the news sites and lots of blogs talking about the Oscars, there’s a hot story out there that’s getting very little coverage. Apparently after finding out that his girlfriend Sarah Silverman was f*cking Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel hooked up with Ben Affleck.

Okay, not really. Jimmy and Ben did hook up to make a comedic music video in answer to Sarah’s and Matt’s comedic music video “I’m F*cking Matt Damon”. However, Jimmy Kimmel did manage to round up a star studded cast for his video including Don Cheadle, Ashlee Simpson, Robin Williams, Cameron Diaz, Huey Lewis, Christina Applegate, Joan Jett, Macy Gray, Benji and Joel Madden, Lance Bass, Josh Groban and Harrison Ford who blows the new couple a kiss. Even Brad Pitt shows up in the video as a FedEx deliveryman who brings a cake of congratulations to the couple.

The News About Jennifer Lopez Having Twins

Well, the big day is finally here for Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony. The couple gave birth to twins today. The twins are, in order of their birth, a girl and a boy. The girl weighed in at 5 pounds and 7 ounces and the boy weighed in at 6 pounds.

These are the first children for Jennifer Lopez, but the fourth and fifth for Marc who has three other children from two previous relationships. Marc and Jennifer married in a quiet ceremony on June 5, 2004 after rekindling their romance. They had briefly dated in the 1990's.

Get this, People Magazine is reportedly paying a $6 million for the first photos of the twins. Marc and Jennifer, get ready for an army of paparazzi.
